Experience and Personal Life
I graduated from Union College in Schenectady, New York summa cum laude in 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a minor in History. I've run the accounting business since 2021. I have prior work experience in banking. I currently live in Rutland with my husband, Andy, who is a history teacher at Burr and Burton Academy, and our Cardigan Corgi, Luna.
Credentials
An Enrolled Agent is an individual who has earned the privilege to represent taxpayers before the Internal Revenue Service. The credential is obtained by passing a three-part comprehensive IRS exam covering individual and business tax returns or through experience as a former IRS employee. Enrolled Agents are required to complete 72 hours of continuing education credits every three years. Enrolled agents are federally authorized tax professionals and can practice in any state.
Community Involvement
During the 2020 Tax Season, I volunteered at the Rutland AARP TaxAide site to assist low- to moderate-income Americans file their taxes at no cost. During the 2018 Tax Season, I joined the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA) through Union College to help low- to moderate-income residents file their taxes at no cost. From 2014 to 2018, I volunteered at RRMC as a high school student. As of 2023, I rejoined the program as a mentor.
